We are looking for a Senior Data Security Architect – AI & Cloud to help design and strengthen secure technology architectures across cloud, data, and artificial intelligence environments.
This is a senior technical role for someone who can move comfortably between architecture, security engineering, data platforms, cloud infrastructure, and emerging AI technologies.
The Role
You will be responsible for designing and guiding secure architectures across cloud, data, and AI environments.
The role combines strategic architecture with hands-on technical understanding. You will work across security, infrastructure, data, and engineering functions to ensure that modern technology platforms are designed with security, resilience, privacy, and governance built in from the beginning.
A significant part of the role will focus on emerging AI environments, including generative AI, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and autonomous AI systems.
You will also help define repeatable security patterns and technical standards that can be applied across different platforms and client environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design secure architectures for cloud, data, and AI platforms.
- Provide technical architecture guidance for enterprise security initiatives and complex technology environments.
- Define secure-by-default architecture patterns for cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and AI systems.
- Review security architecture across AWS and other major cloud platforms.
- Assess and strengthen security configurations within modern data environments such as Snowflake and Databricks.
- Design security controls for generative AI, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and agent-based AI systems.
- Conduct security architecture reviews and identify weaknesses across infrastructure, applications, data, identity, and cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain reusable security architecture frameworks, standards, and implementation patterns.
- Support secure integration between cloud platforms, data environments, applications, APIs, and third-party services.
- Apply threat modelling techniques to identify architectural risks before systems move into production.
- Support secure DevOps and DevSecOps practices across infrastructure and application delivery.
- Evaluate security risks associated with AI models, third-party AI services, model supply chains, and external dependencies.
- Translate security architecture into clear technical documentation, implementation guidance, and build standards.
- Work with engineering, infrastructure, data, and security teams throughout the technology lifecycle.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to colleagues working across related security and architecture disciplines.
- Communicate complex security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Experience
- Strong professional experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, data security, security architecture, or a closely related field.
- Extensive experience designing or reviewing enterprise-level security architectures.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure security, particularly within AWS environments.
- Experience working across multiple security domains such as:

- Platform security
- Experience designing secure architecture patterns and translating architecture decisions into practical implementation guidance.
- Strong understanding of security governance, risk management, and technical control design.
