We’re looking for an experienced AI & Data Architect to help organizations build secure, scalable, and production-ready AI ecosystems that deliver real business value.
This is a fully remote position working with international clients across multiple industries.
About the Role
As an AI & Data Architect, you will assess, design, and modernize enterprise AI and data platforms supporting advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI initiatives.
You’ll work at the intersection of cloud architecture, data governance, security, and AI engineering—ensuring organizations have the technical foundations required to deploy AI responsibly and at scale.
Rather than building isolated proofs of concept, you’ll help design production-grade architectures capable of supporting long-term business operations.
Responsibilities
AI & Data Architecture
- Assess existing cloud, AI, and data architectures across enterprise environments.
- Design scalable target architectures for AI, analytics, and modern data platforms.
- Evaluate current technical capabilities and identify architectural gaps.
- Develop roadmaps for modernizing AI and data ecosystems while maximizing reuse of existing investments.
Cloud & Platform Engineering
- Design architectures across Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services.
- Evaluate storage, compute, networking, and integration strategies.
- Support scalable cloud-native architectures capable of supporting AI workloads.
Data Governance
- Assess data quality, accessibility, lineage, governance, and operational readiness.
- Define governance models supporting regulatory compliance and enterprise security.
- Recommend best practices for cataloging, metadata management, privacy, and access controls.
AI Strategy
- Evaluate enterprise readiness for Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), intelligent automation, and AI agents.
- Design architectures supporting responsible AI deployment.
- Assess AI use cases based on technical feasibility, governance, business value, and available data.
Architecture Leadership
- Present findings and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
- Produce architecture documentation and technical roadmaps.
- Collaborate with engineering teams throughout implementation.
- Support strategic technology decision-making across complex environments.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in enterprise technology.
- At least 4 years designing AI, cloud data, or advanced analytics platforms.
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Storage).
- Experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, EventBridge, and SQS.
- Strong understanding of modern cloud data architectures, including lakehouse concepts and large-scale analytics.
- Experience designing production AI solutions using Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, and AI orchestration frameworks.
- Experience implementing data governance, lineage, privacy, and data quality frameworks.
- Strong understanding of MLOps including model versioning, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Experience integrating structured and unstructured data sources.
- Knowledge of encryption, identity management, and secure data architectures.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Cloud Composer, or similar technologies.
- Excellent communication skills capable of translating technical concepts into business recommendations.
- Professional-level English, both written and spoken.
